What is Profhilo injection?

Profhilo 5-point injections are innovative, minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that improves skin texture and structure without adding extra volume, unlike traditional fillers.

These injections stand out with one of the highest concentrations of stabilized hyaluronic acid on the market, intended for bioremodeling. They affect dermal layer, so intensively hydrate skin, stimulate fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin. The procedure improves skin tone and can reduce the appearance of fine wrinkles. Skin becomes firmer, more elastic, radiant, and healthier-looking.

Profhilo injections are suitable for men and women of various ages whose skin has lost hydration, firmness, or elasticity due to natural aging, sun exposure, or lifestyle. Procedure is most commonly performed on face, but can also be applied to neck, décolletage, or hand skin.

How to prepare for Profhilo injection procedure?

• 7 days before the Profhilo procedure, it is recommended to avoid blood-thinning medications (e.g., aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) and some supplements (e.g., fish oil, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba) to reduce the risk of bruising. Aggressive skincare procedures (e.g., chemical peels, laser therapy) should also be avoided in the area where the injection will be performed.
• 24 hours before the procedure, it is recommended not to consume alcohol. 24–48 hours before the procedure, steam rooms, saunas, hot baths, intensive sun exposure, and heavy physical exertion should be avoided.
• Drink sufficient water and be rested – this can contribute to better healing and reduce the risk of side effects.

Procedure course

• First, target skin areas are cleaned and disinfected.
• If procedure is performed on facial area, doctor marks five "bio-aesthetic points" on each side of face where injections will be administered.
• Using thin needle, small (0.2 ml) concentrated hyaluronic acid doses are injected into each marked point, which enter dermal layer.

This technique ensures even preparation distribution, reduces infection and side effect risk, and helps achieve natural skin rejuvenation. Procedure is generally well-tolerated (some minor discomfort may be felt) and lasts about 30 minutes, depending on the affected skin area.

After Profhilo injections

Immediately after procedure, mild redness, swelling, or bruising may occur – this most commonly passes within few hours or 1–2 days. Most patients can return to usual activity next day.

• First 12-24 hours, injection sites should not be touched, pressed, or rubbed; makeup products should also not be used.
• For at least 24 hours, it is recommended to avoid direct sun rays, active physical activity, extreme heat (e.g., sauna, steam room) or cold exposure.
• Other invasive or intensive facial procedures (laser, microneedling therapies, etc.) are best postponed for 1–2 weeks.
• It is important to ensure skin hydration and use broad-spectrum UV protection cream.
